The Tomboy

This card had a change in abilities to where it gets bigger each turn and to where the counters can be moved to other characters in play. This is especially useful for the demonic powers that the demons have to where they lose counters as they use their abilities. Regardless if the card is a demon or not the counter when placed on the card can take priority as a designated counter type. This card is especially powerful when combined with cards such as Bubba Wing Fighter that can be used to immediately kan character in play. Don't forget, that like almost all the demon cards she gives her power to another character in play. Be careful not to have her leave play when you control no other characters!

This card is ludicrously underpowered in the UCG. The mere fact that everyone can play any card in the game makes forcing a player to pay an additional one money to null a card rather weak. The penalty was made greater as the game progresses you can make this cost greater for the cancel. Hopefully Dorf will be seen more in aggressive style decks in the future.

Angst Ork 001

Ever had a discard deck wet dream to where you can destroy a players hand and still have enough heat to kill the player too? This card defines the discard theme of the ... tribe as they all gain the ability to knock a card out of the player's hand. Along with this it gives damage momentum to the aggressive part of the ... tribe. This card should be seen more with either style of the deck.

Ariwara Miki

This card was another that has gone through several revisions. This card is actually Mina Holly's version 1.2 card as proven by the ability to create the gizmo tokens. Along with this ability to turn unneeded draws into character cards to utilize it also harms other opponents when they draw cards. This card penalizes a player that wants to accelerate their deck. Before any player thinks of using draw effects or abilities they would need to dismantle this tinkerer first. Oh yes, don't forget her token are unblockable when the real Mina Holly is out.

Big Fat Wallet

With the advent of the epic character there is absolutely no way a card that designates money cost being useful. Thus the card was converted over to be old school Tomo. This card has an activate ability that can either win you the game or provide you with a draw. This particular card is personally responsible for the first and only draw ever in LVP classic. Provided this is the rush down tribe of the game it gets bigger each time another of its brethren comes into play. I debate making this one cost two but let's see how fares at 3.

The Rival

Cards they kan based on money cost easily prove to be overpowered when facing off against Epic characters. With the abilities this card had before the errata it could kan ANY epic character at its leisure. Let's not forget that you have Alan that can easily just search for him when needed. We have plans on refining the dude tribe and this card fits perfectly with their new theme of damage control. What is cool about this card is now it is reverted back to its old LVP classic version and still proves to be just as good as ever!

Riptor, Sharvan Elite

This card is ideal for the hybrid deck that is either the epic deck wanting to use money cost cards or a money cost deck using epic characters. The utility of this card goes without measure it can even allow you to play expensive cards such as the master at practically no cost. Just keep in mind that the card now counts as a pitfall effect and can always be Kanned by cards that would Kan. Effect cards. Also as with all Pitfall Effects they can be destroyed before they resolve.

Acoochee Smooch

To begin with the artwork on this card was atrocious and needed some fixing. Secondly this card had little to no late game use. Its purpose is to find the Shadowwalker or effect card that messes up your strategy and make the player discard it. This is all fine and dandy except late game the player will just use their discardable cards. By giving it the ability to be any card it can aid in the ability of removing expensive/standby cards from the player's hand.

Jeff's Erratas Volume #3

Originally published on September 26th, 2011, this article discusses some of the first major changes to the Universal Card Game. On this version of Jeff's Erratas we show many of the buffs granted to many cards in the UCG 1.3! This time we see many cards that are starting to define the initial powers of each of the Designators in the game. Many of these cards on this list have also been changed since the writing of this of article? What wonders await us in the new UCG version 1.4?

This Article is for an older version of the game and is here for archival purposes! Please be sure to check the Card Gallery for up to date card rulings!

Cards Being Crafted

30%The Commit Sins: The Commit Sin cards are some of the fundamental cards in the Universal Card Game. We have currently commissioned the artist Henri dela Cruz to draw each “sin” card a panoramic picture that when placed next to the other sin cards will form one giant picture! This will be really neat once we have them done, as the sin in the world is entwined with our everyday life. It would be very flavorful to have the sin cards interlace to make one giant picture.

0% The Darkness Status Effects: In the Universal Card Game there are the three Inquisitors of the Inquisition. Did you know each of them has a name? That is right! Arcanist of the Inquisition has the name of Cass Havana, Templar of the Inquisition has the name of Khane Avanarus, and the Warlord of the Inquisition has the name of Ross Undersong. These character each wield a cursed weapon given to them by the Architect of the Flesh. We want to show the fall of these proud warriors with the “darkness” status effect cards that deal with the removal of various characters of specific designators. Similar to the “sin” cards, these cards will form one collaborative picture.

5% Tinkerer Ayaka Lizzy: Ayaka is one of the most powerful character cards currently in the Universal Card Game. Her artwork, while extremely good, is from the source material from which is was created for. This picture is not the best for a very powerful character card. We hope to commission the artist Val Hochberg that actually drew Ayaka on Riptor, Sharvan Elite to draw a unique artwork specifically for Ayaka’s character card. We have to wait until the beginning of June, but once we hear back we will keep you posted!
